A downloadable game for Windows

Dungeon Listen is a music exercise machine with a minimalistic Dungeon Synth style.

It includes three training modes for practicing music. Two are dedicated to developing your musical ear, and one to learning to read sheet music.

When I was starting out in music myself, I was saddened to realize that there is a ton of literature that teaches music the same way that literature or math is taught - concepts, ideas, definitions are given.

But there was very little in the way of nice, user-friendly software that would allow you to build up some skills to the point of automaticity. It doesn't matter if you can read sheet music or not, as long as you don't do it instantly.

It doesn't matter how much you like a tune if you can't hear it with the ear of a musician.

Without some skills that are brought to automaticity, analyzing musical pieces turns into hours of torture.

This game, I wrote for myself, to consolidate some skills. The game may have inaccuracies in definitions, English is not my native language, but first of all it is a simulator, not a textbook.

You will need to

- to guess which note is where on the sheet music.

- learn to distinguish musical intervals by ear.

Midi device support for one of the modes is included. Please, turn off sustain and other effects on keyaboard. Models with 88 keys are preferred.
